Gradcore is looking to appoint a Partnerships Consultant this summer. The role requires someone with experience of working in Higher Education or Emerging Talent, with experience of dealing with senior stakeholders, account management and delivering successful projects. The role is busy and demanding, but equally fulfilling as you get to see the impact you have on organisations, universities and graduates together with our business.
Gradcore is an ambitious social enterprise with a mission to transform graduate recruitment and employability. We do this with a growing team of consultants who can create, deliver and manage great projects in the higher education and emerging talent industries. We’ve already worked with over 60 UK and European universities, managed a wide range of corporate and SME graduate schemes together with delivering RPO work for numerous clients.
This role will involve account management on existing client projects, sometimes playing a leading role and other times bringing specialist experience together with building and fostering your own client relationships. You’ll get to see projects you have developed through to their conclusion.
The heart of this role is variety and adaptability. We are looking for someone who has substantial experience working in a university or corporate talent environment that now wants to work for a smaller and nimbler organisation that has a direct impact on these industries. You’ll also have experience of leading, motivating and developing a team.
This is not an easy job, but it is a fulfilling one. At Gradcore, we pride ourselves on working at pace and delivering a wide range of projects at any given time. We are often on the road, in the UK and Europe, and the work can vary from facilitating a workshop with a University management team to tender pitching to assessing in a student internship assessment centre.
This hard work comes with a comprehensive reward and remuneration package. We are based in beautiful period offices with a modern interior in the heart of Sheffield city centre. There is a profit share, pension, personal development budget and bonus scheme. In addition, we make sure you always have access to good quality coffee, you’ll never have to buy a drink on a work night out and a lively team to work with when delivering projects, not to mention our biannual away days (last year Milan, this summer Berlin!)
We have a clear set of values, and the person specification below illustrates these and how they relate to this role:
We make a positive impact
You are someone who seeks to make a positive impact in all your work and can back this up with example projects and delivery where you have made a key difference
We build great relationships
You are someone who builds long-lasting relationships and is keen to build new projects with clients. You deliver your work with a strong sense of empathy for the client and the team.
We know that the team makes the difference
You are someone who works well in a team, and understands that it takes a blend of skills to deliver projects effectively and in line with client expectations. You are also willing and able to turn your hand to a wide variety of activities and are comfortable multi-tasking at pace.
We deliver smart thinking
You are someone who looks beyond the obvious, challenges received wisdom and is curious to seek out opportunities for improvement for yourself and clients. You also have a history of communicating this thinking in a highly effective and persuasive manner, whether in written form or a presentation.
We know our stuff
You understand and have experience in your industry, whether it is graduate recruitment, higher education or both – and more importantly always seek to boost your knowledge through reading, networking and training.
We tell it like it is
You have a track record of delivering complex and challenging messages in a constructive and nuanced fashion – whether it is to external clients or fellow team members.
